Hollywood To Screen Horror Film Festival

Four films from noted horror director John Carpenter will be shown this weekend.

DORMONT, PA - Halloween doesn’t occur for another eight months, but the Hollywood Theater is getting into the, uh, Halloween spirit this weekend with a film fest featuring the works of scare meister John Carpenter.

Presented by the East Coast Horror Group, the Hollywood on Saturday will screen “Dark Star,” “The Thing,” “They Live,” and “Prince of Darkness.” Doors open at 1 p.m., the first film begins at 2 p.m.

Between films, East End Brewing will sell its craft beers, SaludPgh will have food for sale and vendors will be selling various horror film items.

Individual tickets or a pass for all 4 films can be purchased at www.thehollywooddormont.org or at the theater on Saturday.
