Keystone Oaks Teachers Threaten To Strike
The work stoppage in the Keystone Oaks School District will occur if a new contract agreement isn't reached by midnight on Thursday.

DORMONT, PA - Teachers in the Keystone Oaks School District will go on strike Aug. 24 if a new contract agreement isn’t reached. The Keystone Oaks Education Association notified the district on Tuesday the work stoppage will occur if an agreement isn’t reached by midnight on Thursday.
District and union officials plan to meet Wednesday and Thursday in an attempt to avert a work stoppage. The union represents 160 teachers, counselors and nurses.
Teachers nearly went on strike in March, but agreed to extend the terms of an expired contract through the end of the 2016-17 school year. They had been working without a contract since the end of the 2015-16 school year.
