Large Drug Bust Nets $223,000 In Cocaine, Methamphetamine

Two people are facing charges after being arrested in Dormont.

DORMONT, PA - Two people are facing felony drug charges after law enforcement agents found $223,000 worth of cocaine and methamphetamine and $13,000 in cash in the apartment of a Dormont resident.

Agents from Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s office arrested Ivan Organista-Gomez, 41, and Fabiola Romero-Dorante, 33, of Texas Avenue after observing Organista-Gomez leave Romero-Dorante’s apartment and then failing to stop at a stop sign. Organista-Gomez was pulled over and four ounces of cocaine was found in the vehicle, according to Shapiro’s office.

Agent’s then went to Romero-Dorante’s residence and found a half-pound of methamphetamine, 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, $13,026 in cash, a digital scale and other drug-related items. According to Shapiro’s office, Romero-Dorante told police that she and Organista-Gomez travel to California to purchase drugs.

Organista-Gomez and Romero-Dorante were charged with criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to deliver, and other related charges following the drug seizure. The Allegheny County District Attorney’s Office will prosecute the cases.
