BROOKLINE, PA - You might not know Guiseppe "Joe" Pepe by name. But if you're a fan of Fiori's Pizzaria on Capital Avenue in Brookline, one of Pittsburgh's most popular pizza places, then you undoubtedly have tasted one of the thousands of pies he made there over the past 40 years.

Pepe has retired from the pizza shop, according to the Brookline Connection Facebook page. He leaves a legacy or rave reviews such as this one from the Imagine Pittsburgh website: "If you've made the uphill trek on the cobblestone road to Fiori’s in Brookline, you know the payoff is delicious. Pizzas so heavy with cheeseyou need a furniture dolly to get to the car. Their crusts get ravesfor hitting the sweet spot between crunchy and chewy. The white pizza special is also a big hit."
