New Choral Program for Young Singers

Pittsburgh Youth Chorus is expanding to the north and south hills with its new Neighborhood Training Choir program for young singers!

If you have a child who loves to sing, Pittsburgh Youth Chorus (formerly Children‘s Festival Chorus) would love to have him/her join our new Neighborhood Training Choir program. Neighborhood Training Choirs are for children in second and third grades and are beginning this year in the north and south hills. The Neighborhood Training Choir of the South Hills will rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 6-7:15 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church on Washington Road in Upper Saint Clair. The Neighborhood Training Choir of the North Hills will be offered at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Allison Park. This program will be offered in two 12-week sessions. The fall session begins September 8th so call us soon at 412-281-4790, or . . . please visit our website at www.pittsburghyouthchorus for details! Auditions are not required!

If you have a child entering third or fourth grade who would like to audition for a position in our Troubadour Choir, the entry-level choir in our core program, there is a final round of auditions on Friday, August 7th at 12 Noon. These auditions will be held in the Mary Pappert School of Music on the Duquesne University Campus. If accepted into this choir, your child will attend rehearsals at the same location from September through May. The Troubadours rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 6-8:00 PM.
