Parker's Cafe Opens In Brookline

The popular eatery has officially relocated from nearby Dormont.

BROOKLINE, PA - The long-awaited relocation of a Dormont eatery to Brookline Boulevard became reality Friday, as Parker’s opened to brisk business.

Anticipation had built for the sandwich shop since May, when owner Luke Parker closed the Dormont space to concentrate on getting the new restaurant operational. Parker said he was pleased to finally open the doors.

“It’s been a lot of work,” Parker said. “But at the same time, it’s nice to put our stamp on this street. We want to be a part of all the other great restaurants on this street.”

Parker said community support from both Brookline and Dormont has been great during the transition period. “Really, it’s been overwhelming,” he said.

Parker opened the restaurant on Glenmore Avenue in Dormont in October 2014. The space formerly was occupied by the hot dog shop Dormont Dogs, which closed in 2013.
