Pub Tour To Benefit Dormont Swiming Pool

This year's tour includes 11 stops at well-known borough watering holes.

DORMONT, PA - It’s only fitting that there are 11 stops on this weekend’s 11th annual Dormont Pub Tour benefitting the borough’s historic swimming pool.

Friends of the Dormont Pool will hold this year’s tour on April 29 from 7 p.m. to midnight. Participants will be given a map to be signed at each stop to be eligible to win a prize following the event.

The tour is designed to raise money for the pool, which dates back to 1920 and was designated a historic landmark by the Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation in 2002. Financial difficulties nearly forced the iconic pool’s closure in 2006; the friends organization was established to help generate long-term funding to pay for major repairs and maintenance.
