One Person In Custody After SWAT Team Summoned To Brookline
The incident occurred Thursday morning on Brookline Boulevard.
BROOKLINE - One person was taken into custody and a portion of Brookline Boulevard closed Thursday in an incident that brought the city of Pittsburgh SWAT team to the scene.
Pittsburgh Public Safety Director Wendell Hissrich said the incident started around 9:30 a.m. when police attempted to serve a warrant in a four-unit apartment building on Brookline Boulevard.
"The individual indicated he was not coming out and potentially was going to be violent," Hissrich said to reporters on the scene. "At that point, they backed off, established a perminter and notified Allegheny County Police and the Pittsburgh SWAT team."
