A Brookline man was arrested Friday after police said he made a threat to an employee at District Judge Jim Motznik's Brookline Boulevard office, prompting a SWAT situation in the neighborhood.
According to a report from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Greg A. Tchirkow, 34, received an eviction notice on Aug. 5 from his home in the 900 block of Fordham Avenue, and then called and went in person to Motznik's office. According to reports, Tchirkow told an office employee over the phone, "If they come to evict me at the end of the week, I have a gun, and I ain't afraid to use it."
An arrest warrant was issued for Tchirkow on Thursday, and he was arrested Friday after he reportedly followed two constables to the CVS Pharmacy on Brookline Boulevard and they blocked him into the area.
