Shadey’s Rugged Run
If you’re looking for a race that’s a bit more challenging than your typical 5K, look no further than the Shade’s Rugged Run. This is a 3.5-mile obstacle course is being held on Saturday, May 4th. It takes participants through mud, water, and additional challenges, so it is not for the faint of heart (but you always have the option to skip obstacles that are too challenging). The Factory Ministries’ Run Ride Walk
The Factory Ministries is an organization that aims to help those struggling with poverty and lack of resources. On Saturday, June 15th, they are holding a 5K, along with bike rides and a kids fun run. The 5K begins at 9:30 a.m., but you can go earlier for a 6:30 a.m. breakfast or the bike rides.
