$1.7M Water Infrastructure Prjoect Underway In Haverford Twp

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A $1.7 million water infrastructure improvement project is underway in Haverford Township.
Aqua Pennsylvania recently launched the project in Haverford Township to improve service reliability for customers.
Crews are working to replacing 4,859 feet of aging 6-, 8- and 16-inch water mains with new 6-, 8- and 16-inch ductile iron water mains on Haverford Road between Karakung Drive and Ardmore Avenue.

The work is expected to be completed by October.
This project is part of Aqua’s infrastructure improvement program that replaced more than 45 miles of aging main in Delaware County in 2020 to improve service reliability for customers.

Aqua expects to replace approximately 45 miles of main in Delaware County by the end of 2021.
The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
The capital spend for these projects is included in Aqua’s nearly $53 million infrastructure program planned for Delaware County in 2021.
