2 Coronavirus Testing Sites Open In Delco This Week

Public coronavirus testing is being offered in Darby and Upland this week. See details of both sites here.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Two locations are offering public, drive-thru coronavirus testing this week in Delaware County.

Testing is being done at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby and U.S. Army Reserve Center in Upland.

Both sites use standard mid-nasal PCR Nasal Swab test kits.

There are no out-of-pocket costs or co-pays for testing at either site; however,
individuals with health insurance are asked to please bring an ID and their insurance card.

Masks or face coverings must be worn.

At Mercy Fitzgerald, testing is free and is available for insured and uninsured individuals 12 years of age or older who live or work in Delaware County and have coronavirus symptoms, were exposed to coronavirus, or are considered critical/essential workers.

Preregistration is required online here.

Test results take three to five days to. Faster results can be obtained by registering online through the MyHNLAccess portal. Details about the registration process can be obtained during your test and on the MyHNLAccess page online here.

The Chester County Health Department Disease Investigation team may call those individuals
who have a positive test result to complete an investigation.

At the site in Upland, testing is free and available on a first-come, first-serve basis for individuals 3 years of age or older.

Individuals are not required to show symptoms of coronavirus to be tested and do not have to be county residents.

Appointments are not necessary, registration will be done on-site.

The turnaround time for testing results is two to seven days. Individuals who test positive will
receive a phone call from AMI while individuals who test negative will receive a secured-PDF emailed to them from AMI.

  • Monday — 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday — 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday — 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday — 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday — 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

U.S. Army Reserve Center, 500 W. 24th St., Upland

  • Tuesday — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Friday — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday — 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
