2021 Primary Election Day In Haverford: Who's On The Ballot

Pennsylvania's primary election is coming up. Here's what voters need to know about this year's local elections.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The 2021 primary election in Pennsylvania is just around the corner, and several municipal races are on the ballot for local voters to decide.

Many of the races that appear on the ballots are uncontested in the primary, meaning that the only real decision voters will need to make will come in the general election in November.

However, there are some important primary races that will be determined May 18, not to mention the ballot questions on proposed constitutional amendments.

Here's a glance at what voters will see in the Haverford area:

In the school board race, six are on the Democratic ballot, and nine are on the Republican ballot.

The Democrats are Katherine Wang, Kristin Larsen, Helene Conroy-Smith, Kimberly McKay, and Danielle Camaratta Vitale.

Republicans on the ballot are Thomas E. Thornton, Ericka Johnson, and Elena Wiseley.

However, Wang, Larsen, Conroy-Smith, McKay, and Vitale are cross filed as Republicans.

None of the township commissioner primary races are contested.

Jack Cunningham and Douglas W. Degenhardt are running as Republicans for township Constable

Polls will open Tuesday, May 18 at 7 a.m. Voters can cast ballots up until 8 p.m.

A ballot drop box is located at the Haverford Administration Building, 1014 Darby Road in Havertown.
