71 Percent Coronavirus Recovery Rate In Delco: Latest Data

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The latest coronavirus figures in Delaware County show a nearly 75 percent recovery rate.

According to data provided Friday, the county has a total of 6,661 cases. Upper Darby remains the county's hotspot for the virus, with 1,046 cases.

Yeadon Borough has the highest population percentage with the virus with 3.5 percent of its 11,471 population infected.

Women account for 56.54 percent of the county's cases and men make up 42.53 percent of cases. Gender has not been identified for 0.83 percent of cases.

• Under 10 — 6
• 10 to 19 — 148
• 20 to 29 — 785
• 30 to 39 — 901
• 40 to 49 — 929
• 50 to 59 — more than 1,100
• 60 to 69 — 975
• 70 to 79 — 651
• 80 and Over — more than 1,000

Rose Valley and Rutledge borough's have the lowest case count of all municipalities with one each. Both boroughs have no deaths.

As of Friday, 645 people died from the virus. Middletown Township has seen the most virus-related deaths, with 130 reported Friday.

Of the 645 deaths reported Friday, 508 have been nursing home residents.

Fourteen municipalities have not had coronavirus deaths as of Friday.

The county has seen 23,646 negative coronavirus test results to date.

Friday's data shows the county has a 71 percent coronavirus recovery rate.
