Earlier this month, Child Guidance Resource Centers held its 7th Annual Superhero 5K Run for Prevention and Wellness Festival. The event was super fun at its new location in Ridley Creek State Park. There was a super hero participation of 21 exhibitors, 250 total participants (the biggest turnout ever including 151 runners!), and 20 sponsors supporting our efforts. This year’s fundraiser raised approximately $15,000, which will go to support children and families struggling with mental health behavioral health and addictions. Child Guidance wasn’t the only big winner at this year’s event. A special surprise was 12 year old Peyton Richardson, who flew through the race wearing her superhero cape to become our overall women’s winner. Thanks to every superhero who came or donated or ran, they each helped change lives by getting involved.
