Delco COVID-19 Cases Continue To Decrease, Hospitalizations Up

Delaware County's fight against the coronavirus is showing its effectiveness by way of the six coronavirus metrics measured by the state.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County's fight against the coronavirus is showing its effectiveness by way of the six coronavirus metrics measured by the state.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Health, newly reported cases, the incidence rate per 100,000 people, the positivity rate, average daily coronavirus hospitalizations, and ventilator use have decreased from June 25-July 1.

There were three fewer new cases reported than the previous week, now at 45.

The incidence rate decrease from 8.5 to 7.9.

The positivity rate decreased from 1 percent to 0.8 percent.

Hospitalizations were at 11.3 Friday, up from 9.1 last week.

There continues to be no one on ventilators.
