Delco Hosting Drive-In Movie Theater Next Weekend

MEDIA, PA — Families looking for fun this October can turn to Rose Tree Park in Media as Delaware County is hosting a drive-in theater.

The movies are being brought to residents thanks to Delaware County Council, Delaware County Department of Parks and Recreation, and Visit Delco, PA.

Movies are being shown on Friday, Oct. 9; Saturday, Oct. 10; and Sunday, Oct. 11.

Below is the screening schedule:

Friday, Oct. 9, 7 p.m. — "A League of Their Own"
Saturday, Oct. 10, 3 p.m. — "Trolls"
Saturday, Oct. 10, 7 p.m. — "Silver Linings Playbook"
Sunday, Oct. 11, 3 p.m. — "Angry Birds II"

Residents are invited to bring their own food and drinks and tune in to an FM radio station in their car as they watch the movie on the big screen located in the middle of the park.

Bathrooms will be open for use.

There is a $10 fee per car and registration is required in advance. There is a 150 vehicle maximum per night and residents are encouraged to register early before movies sell out.

Movies will be played if there is light rain, however, if it is raining heavily the movie may be canceled.
