'Delco Proper' Gets More Web Episodes

Delaware County-set comedy picked up for three more Comedy Central shows

‘Delco Proper’ first surfaced back in July as a six-minute Comedy Central web “pilot,” in which a trio of Delaware County idiots attended a funeral with old high school friends. The clip was widely shared, inside and outside of Delco itself, as a sort of possible successor to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, only transported a few dozen miles West and South.

Now, Delco Proper is moving forward. It hasn’t been picked up to series, although Comedy Central has ordered three more web episodes. Philly.com reported the news, citing social media posts from creator/stars Tim Butterly, John McKeever, and Tommy Pope.

Could the show show up on the actual Comedy Central? It’s not unheard of; one of the network’s best series, Broad City, began life as a web series.
