Delco's 61st Veterans Day Parade Being Held Virtually Wednesday
Ninety-seven-year-old World War II Marine Corps veteran Roland Scarinci will serve as this year's Grand Marshall.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The 61st annual Veterans Day Parade in Delaware County will take place virtually this year, with spectators observing from home online.
The parade will be held at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday in Media.
With the coronavirus pandemic, the parade route won't be lined with residents and students.

A recorded video presentation will honor Scarinci. The 97-year-old Marine Veteran joined the United States Marine Corps in 1942 at age 17. He was stationed in the Pacific Theatre in the Solomon Islands and assisted in the invasion of Okinawa.
Following the parade, there will be a virtual ceremony.
The ceremony will include live performances and speeches from various organizations, schools and leaders across from Delaware County.
