The Facebook page Growin' Up in Havertown is a group page started by Havertown native Mike Cleary "to generate some hometown pride and to allow folks to post stories, pics and memories of good times, great places and events that they may have experienced while growing up in Havertown, PA."

"They can include anything and everything from family to school to just places and things you remember from your childhood that may not be there anymore. Yes, we've all had trying times in our lives. Few are spared from the harsh realities of life. However, this place is meant to be a respite from what life sometimes throws our way. I like to think of the GUIH page as a favorite (online) pub where old friends can meet and talk about good times, and laugh and joke with each other."
