Disaster Declared In Delaware County Due To Storm Damage

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Delaware County officials had declared a disaster emergency due to damages from Tropical Storm Isaias.

County Council Chair Brian Zidek issued the declaration Tuesday evening.

The declaration will be in effect until the council ends it or after seven days.

Officials issued the order to expedite relief efforts.

First Responders and disaster relief teams to worked through the night to ensure areas are safe and provide shelter to dozens of displaced families.
