Dog Rescued From Darby Creek In Havertown

A dog that was reported missing was rescued Wednesday from Darby Creek by members of the Manoa Fire Company, according to officials.

HAVERTOWN, PA — A dog was rescued from a creek in Havertown Wednesday, according to officials.

The Manoa Fire Company said police were called to Park's Best Car Wash on Old West Chester Pike after getting a report of a dog in Darby Creek.

The dog was reported missing on Sunday and was found down a 20-foot embankment in Darby Creek, the fire company said.

Police asked the fire company's assistance and crews used a rope system and ground ladder to get down the embankment and into the creek.

Then, a water team member got into the creek, rescued the dog, and handed the dog off to its owner and EMS personnel.
