Free Shade Trees Available For Haverford Residents

The Haverford Shade Tree Commission is giving out free trees in October. See more information on the tree giveaway here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Residents in Haverford Township will be able to get free shade trees to make their properties a bit greener thanks to the Haverford Township Shade Tree Commission.

The commission will offer township residents free shade trees from 9 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last, on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Only 50 trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Small, medium and large species trees will be available.

Trees will be given out in the lower parking lot at the Township Municipal Services Building.

Those looking to get a tree must show proof of residency. There is a one-tree limit per household.

Planting advice and help with tree selection will be available courtesy of the Shade Tree Commission.

Trees will be in five gallon containers and easy to transport.
