Green Space Task Force Volunteers Sought In Delaware County

Delaware County is forming a new task force to better use natural lands in the county to provide ample outdoor space for generations.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — A new task force aimed at bolstering Delaware County's outdoor spaces is being formed and locals are sought to comprise the group.

Delaware County Council and the Delaware County Planning Department are working to form a Green Space Task Force to help the county provide green space, trails, recreation, and grants program to serve the people of Delaware County, today and through future generations.

Task force members will help develop a meaningful vision, mission, and implementation steps to influence a culture of appreciation for the conservation and use of natural lands throughout the county.

Officials are looking for a diverse group of leaders including residents with background and knowledge of green space preservation, natural lands conservation, parks and recreation management, fundraising, economics, business, health, communications, and community organizing.

Volunteers with and without experience are sought.
