Police reported seven incidences of identity theft in the township from April 7 to April 13. See details on these crimes and more here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their crime blotter Thursday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between April 7 and April 13.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued.

  • Identity Theft at the 1100 block of Garfield Avenue on April 7 at 8:17 a.m. – An unknown actor used the victim's identity to gain access to his Apple Pay account. Over $2,700 worth of unauthorized transactions were made.
  • Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 9 at 2:06 p.m. – Victim reported that someone stole her purse from her shopping cart while she was shopping.
  • Identity Theft at the 100 block of Ivy Rock Lane on April 9 at 2:50 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open an AT&T account.
  • Identity Theft at the 1600 block of Ashton Road on April 9 at 1:17 p.m. – A bank account was opened using the victim’s identity.
  • Identity Theft at the unit block of Chelten Road on April 9 at 2:19 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to file for a tax return.
  • Vandalism at the 200 block of Sagamore Road on April 10 at 3:48 p.m. – Solar lights along the walk way were damaged.
  • Trespassing at Haverford College, 300 block of Lancaster Avenue, on April 10 at 6:09 a.m. – 18-year-old male, 300 block of Hickory Lane, Gladwyne was cited for criminal trespass.
  • Simple Assault at Tip O’Leary’s, 300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 11 at 12:40 a.m. – Victim reported that he was “sucker punched” while outside of the restaurant.
  • Identity Theft at the 200 block of Harding Avenue on April 11 at 3:42 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to open a school loan.
  • Public Drunkenness at Tip O’Leary’s, 300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 11 at 12:45 a.m. – 25-year-old male, 100 block of Media Line Road, Newtown Square was cited for public drunkenness.
  • Theft at the 700 block of Hathaway Lane on April 12 at 8:41 p.m. – Victim reported that prescription medication was stolen after it was delivered.
  • Identity Theft at the 600 block of East Manoa Road on April 12 at 2 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a checking and savings account using her identity.
  • Vandalism at the 1400 block of Lawrence Road on April 12 at 7:40 a.m. – Vehicle window was shattered.
  • Retail Theft at CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on April 13 at 2:15 p.m. – The store manager reported that an unknown female selected numerous items and proceeded to self-check out. She rang up all of the items and left the store. The employee observed that $1,489.64 worth of merchandise was not paid for.
  • Theft at the 100 block of East Marthart Avenue on April 13 at 7:06 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his identity to make two withdraws from his checking and savings account totaling $18,500. A cell phone was also purchased at a Verizon Store.
  • Attempted Retail Theft at the Bead Garden on April 13 at 4:20 p.m. – An unknown female attempted to conceal merchandise and exit the store. The merchandise was recovered when the employee confronted the actor.
  • Identity Theft at the 1300 block of Maryland Avenue on April 13 at 5:25 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a checking account using his identity.
  • Theft of Services at Jiffy Lube, unit block of West Township Line Road, on April 13 at 8:47 a.m. – An unknown male failed to pay for his oil change.

  • 40-year-old male, 100 block of 4th Avenue, Broomall. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Lowes’s, 100 block of West Township Line Road. Date: April 7 at 7:47 a.m.
  • 40-year-old male, 100 block of 4th Avenue, Broomall. Charged: Retail Theft. Location: Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: April 7 at 7:49 a.m, incident occurred on April 5.
  • 24-year-old male, 1400 block of Balmoral Road, Coatesville. Charges: DUI, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Circle Drive and Fairmont Road. Date: April 7 at 8 p.m.
  • 40-year-old male, 100 block of North Belfield Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Burglary, criminal mischief, simple assault and terroristic threats. Location: 500 block of Naylors Run Road. Date: April 7 at 3:53 p.m.
  • 43-year-old male, unit block of Hickory Lane, Newtown Square. Charges: Vehicle without ignition interlock and unregistered vehicle. Location: 500 block of West Chester Pike. Date: April 9 at 7:15 p.m.
  • 48-year-old male, 200 block of St. Lawrence Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Aggravated assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and recklessly endangering another person. Location: 100 block of Glendale Road. Date: April 9 at 3:31 p.m.
  • 46-year-old male, 2600 block of Washington Street, Wilmington, DE. Charges: Burglary, criminal trespass, robbery, simple assault, terroristic threats, criminal mischief and unlawful restraint. Location: 1000 block of Hunters Lane. Date: April 11 at 5:11 a.m.
