Haverford High School Announces Fords Fight For Life Night
Sponsored jerseys to be worn Oct. 14 in name of a someone who has fought or is still fighting cancer. Funds raised benefit Cain Foundation.

Haverford High School football players may be difficult to identify on Friday, Oct. 14 when they don jerseys with names of those who have fought and are still fighting cancer. Formerly "Cancer Awareness Night" and "Pink Jersey Night," the benefit event is now called "Fords Fight For Life Night."
According to Haverford School District, interested parties can sponsor a jersey for $100 which will allow the sponsor to put the name of the person they wish to honor on said jersey. After the game, which begins at 7 p.m. at Alison G. Cornog Stadium and is against William Penn Charter School, sponsors, their family, and if possible the honoree will be escorted to the field with the player wearing the sponsored jersey.
Escorting players will present the jersey to the sponsor or sponsors as as keepsake. Proceeds from the event will benefit local families through the Kevin Cain Memorial Foundation.
