Haverford High School Ranked Among PA's Top 25: U.S. News
Haverford High School was ranked among the state's top 25 high schools and the third best of all Delaware County high schools.
HAVERTOWN, PA — Haverford High School placed among the top 25 schools in Pennsylvania, according to a new ranking from U.S. News and World Report.
The school ranked 21st overall in the state in the latest ranking, which compares more than 17,800 public high schools nationwide. It was ranked No. 731 nationwide, as well.
Haverford High School was ranked the third highest out of all Delaware County high schools, behind Radnor High School at No. 4 and Strath Haven High School at No. 16.

Nearby, Lower Merion High School was ranked No. 10, Harriton High School came in at No. 13.
Other high ranking Delaware County schools included Penncrest High School at 41st, Springfield High School 53rd, and Garnet Valley High School 75th.

The top 600 included 15 schools from across Pennsylvania. Just two cracked the top 50. The top-ranked Pennsylvania school was Philadelphia's Julia Masterman Academy, coming in at 18th overall. It was followed by Downingtown STEM at 34th; these were the only schools that cracked the top 200 in the national ranking.

The methodology used for this year's ranking focused on six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.
