Haverford Police Blotter: Thefts, Vandalism, Fraud, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

Incidents in the blotter occurred between April 22 and April 27.

The blotter also features arrests made and citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on April 22 at 12:31 p.m. - An unknown male stole merchandise and fled the store.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of Fairlamb Road on April 22 at 8:58 a.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a checking account using his identity.
• Fraud at the 300 block of Brookline Boulevard on April 22 at 5:30 p.m. – Two unauthorized transactions were made with the victim’s debit card and someone attempted to withdraw money from her account with fake identification.
• Fraud at the 300 block of Sagamore Road on April 23 at 8:20 a.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to withdraw $2,000 from her checking account.
• Fraud at the unit block of N. Belfield Avenue on April 23 at 12:14 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used his medical insurance for a procedure at Oklahoma Medical Center and rehabilitation. His insurance paid a total amount of $213,339.59.
• Vandalism at the 1600 block of Pelham Avenue on April 24 at 10:17 p.m. – Window was broken by a golf ball.
• Public Drunkenness at the 1200 block of Ellston Road on April 24 at 11:46 p.m. – 52-year-old male was cited for disorderly conduct and 28-year-old male was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
• Theft at the 300 block of Valley Road on April 25 at 2:40 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – wallet was stolen.
• Disorderly Conduct at the unit block of Brookline Boulevard on April 25 at 3:03 a.m. – 21-year-old male and 27-year-old male were cited for disorderly conduct.
• Attempted Retail Theft at Acme, 600 block of Lancaster Avenue, on April 26 at 5:11 p.m. – Store manager reported that he observed a male concealing Dove products in a reusable bag. The suspect abandoned the merchandise when he was confronted.
• Theft at the 400 block of Richland Avenue on April 27 at 4:05 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – lottery ticket were stolen from the center console.
• Theft at the 400 block of Bryan Street on April 27 at 3:54 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
• Theft at the 400 block of Richland Avenue on April 27 at 4:25 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered – loose change was stolen.
• Theft at the 2600 block of Ashwood Drive on April 27 at 6:10 p.m. – Victim reported prescription medication missing from his residence.
• Attempted Theft at the 400 block of Richland Avenue on April 27 at 4:20 p.m. – Vehicle was entered – nothing was reported missing.
• Identity Theft at the 100 block of Harvard Road on April 27 at 10:30 a.m. – Someone used the victim’s identity to file for unemployment benefits.
• Fraud at the 1400 block of Sunny Hill Lane on April 27 at 3:16 p.m. – The victim reported that she gave her personal information to a person claiming to be from a recruiting company.
• Fraud at the 200 block of Merrybrook Drive on April 27 at 5 p.m. – An unauthorized withdrawal was made from the victim’s checking account.

ARRESTS:

• 41-year-old female, 400 block of Lawrence Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with the intent to deliver. Location: 400 block of Lawrence Road. Date: April 15 at 9:49 a.m.
• 41-year-old male, 400 block of Lawrence Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with the intent deliver. Location: 400 block of Lawrence Road. Date: April 15 at 9:49 a.m.
• 29-year-old male, unit block of Chelten Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: unit block of Chelten Road. Date: April 16 at 64:5 a.m.
• 53-year-old male, 100 block of Boardwalk, Atlantic City. Charges: Contempt for violation of order, suspended driver’s license and red light Violation. Location: 2900 block of Rising Sun Road. Date: April 24 at 3:09 p.m.
• 52-year-old female, 1200 block of Ellston Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: 1200 block of Ellston Road. Date: April 25 at 12:14 a.m.
