Haverford Students Raise Hundreds For Diabetes Awareness Month
Haverford Middle School held a bowling event to "Strike Out Diabetes" recently and generated hundreds to support classmates with diabetes.
HAVERTOWN, PA — A bowling event put on by Haverford Middle School raised hundreds of dollars for a diabetes fund and local students with diabetes.
In November, which is National Diabetes Awareness Month, sixth graders on the Polar Bear Team at Haverford Middle School held a bowling event at Wynnewood Lanes to help "Strike Out Diabetes."
More than 75 students participated in the event.

In total, the event raised $425 for the JDRF and support classmates living with Type 1 diabetes.
