Havertown Food Donation Event Rescheduled To Next Weekend
Delaware County initially planned to host holiday food drives on Saturday, but has rescheduled them to the following weekend.
HAVERTOWN, PA — Delaware County has rescheduled the food collection drive in Havertown.
The county Thursday announced drive-thru donation events scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 have been canceled.
Donation events were set to be held Saturday at the Haverford Township Municipal Building and the Radnor Police Department.

Now, the events are being held Saturday, Nov. 12. The Havertown event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the Radnor event from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
At the events, people are to drive through the parking lot where volunteers will take items from their trunks to trucks for distribution to Delaware County food pantries.

Items needed include:
- dry food goods
- peanut butter
- canned meats and tuna
- stews
- rice
- beans
- soups
- cereal
- paper towels
- toilet paper
- dish soap
- laundry detergent
- toothpaste
- deodorant
- bar soap for bathing
- baby diapers and wipes
- formula
- hand sanitizer
- cleaning wipes.
The Haverford Township Municipal Building is located at 1014 Darby Road in Havertown and the Radnor Police Department is located 301 Iven Ave. in Wayne.
