How Much Snow Has Fallen In Delaware County? Find Out Here

Snowfall has barely let up since Sunday afternoon in the Philadelphia region, with some areas receiving more than 30 inches of snow.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Many residents of the Philadelphia region are living out the reality of the lyrics to "Let It Snow," as the Nor'easter hitting the region "doesn't show signs of stopping."

Snow has been falling in the region since Sunday afternoon, leaving some areas with more than 30 inches of snow.

Up in Springtown, Bucks County, the National Weather service reports 31.2 inches as of 8 a.m., which is the highest total in the five-county Philadelphia region.

But what are the latest totals in Delaware County as snow continues to fall Tuesday?

According to a National Weather Service report issued at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Chadds Ford Township has the highest snow accumulation total in Delaware County.

At 8:35 a.m. Tuesday, a member of the public recorded 7.6 inches in Chadds Ford.

Below are all available National Weather Service snow totals for Delaware County as of Tuesday morning:

  • Chadds Ford Township — 7.6 inches 8:35 a.m. Tuesday (Public)
  • Broomall — 6.4 inches at 11:58 p.m. Monday (Public)
  • Upper Chichester Township — 5.7 inches at 5:07 a.m. Tuesday (Trained Spotter)
  • Glen Mills — 5.0 inches at 11:07 p.m. Monday (Public)

The Delaware County Courthouse, Government Center and County offices will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday due to the weather.

Scheduled coronavirus testing in Darby will go on as planned.

According to PECO, just one power outage is reported in the county as of 9:35 a.m.

PennDOT lifted the speed limit restrictions that were in place on the U.S. 30 Bypass and U.S. 422 in the Philadelphia region.

Earlier Tuesday morning, speeds were also restored to their usual posted limits on the following roadways:

  • I-76, I-95, I-295, I-476 and I-676;
  • U.S. Routes 1, 202; and
  • State Routes 63, 100 Spur and 309.
