Mail-In Ballot Hasn't Arrived? Delco Offers Voter Tips

Delaware County provided advice for voters who have yet to get their mail-in ballots for the primary election on Tuesday.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Have you applied for a mail-in ballot but have not gotten one?

Well, Delaware County officials are offing tips on how to ensure you vote is cast in the upcoming election.

Those who applied for but have yet to receive their mail-in ballots can visit the Voter Service Center at the County Government Center, 201 W. Front St. in Media

Voter Service Center hours are:

  • Thursday — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday — 9 a.m. to noon
  • Monday — 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Election Day — 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters who applied for a vote-by-mail ballot will be able to receive a replacement, ballot, mark it, and submit it at the Voter Service Center. They can also take the replacement ballot home and return it to any of Delaware County’s 41 secured ballot drop boxes by 8 p.m. on May 18,

Additionally, voters can cast provisional ballots.

Provisional ballots can be cast at voters' home precinct polling place on Election Day between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. If the vote-by-mail ballot has not been received by the county and the voter’s registration is valid, that provisional ballot can be counted.

All vote-by-mail ballots must be received by Delaware County by close of polls on8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18 — regardless of postmark date — to be counted.

All Delaware County voters are eligible to participate in the May 18 Primary. Voters registered
with the Republican Party or Democratic Party will qualify for their party’s ballot.

Voters not registered with a party will receive a third-party (nonpartisan) ballot with referenda questions only. These referenda questions include three proposed amendments to the Pennsylvania Constitution.
