Manoa Road Bridge Now Open In Haverford
After closing in April for a $2.3 million replacement project, the Manoa Road Bridge over Cobbs Creek in Haverford is open again.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — Finally, the Manoa Road Bridge over Cobbs Creek in Haverford is open again.
According to PennDOT, the 1929 bridge needed heavy repairs.
A $2.3 million bridge replacement project began in April this year and was recently completed.

PennDOT’s contractor replaced the existing structure, built in 1929, with a single span, pre-stressed, concrete bulb-tee bridge and performed other miscellaneous construction, including guide rail repair and drainage system improvements.
The new structure is 41 feet wide, 34 feet long, and includes nine-foot shoulders.

"Today we complete another bridge project that helps maintain our vast transportation network," Governor Tom Wolf said. "The new structure will improve safety and serve the area well into the future."
The bridge carries an average of 5,086 vehicles a day and is posted for 25-ton and 33-ton combination vehicles.
