No Tax Increase in Proposed Haverford Budget
Haverford's proposed 2021 budget does not include a real estate property tax increase, but final value assessments have not been made.
HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The proposed 2021 budget for Haverford Township does not feature a property tax increase.
Set to be voted on at the Dec. 14 meeting, the proposed budget sits at $80,878,000.
General fund expenditures for the budget are $47,459,900, while general fund revenues are $47,459,900.

As the budget stands, there is no proposed property tax increase.
However, the rate will be reset based on the county's reassessment.

According to the township, tax authorities must reset the 2020 tax millage rate to generate the same level of tax revenue using the revised assessments before considering any change in tax rates for 2021 during the normal budget process.
Assessments will not be reset by the township until final valuations will be sent out to municipalities on Nov. 30.
The township estimates assessments will increase 101.4 percent township wide. Of the township's properties, 48 percent are at or below the 101.4 percent average and 52 percent are above it.
Property tax revenue for 2021 is projected at $26,393,863.
Additionally, the budget does not have a proposed increase in the rash/recycling fee
The largest expenditure in the budget is $18,111,060 for the police department.
