PA Among The Best States To Live In America, New Study Says

PENNSYLVANIA — Pennsylvania was named a top ten "Best State to Live in for 2021," according to one new study.

WalletHub compared all 50 states across 52 key indicators of livability that range from housing costs and income growth to education rate and quality of hospitals. Based on those factors, the Keystone State came in at No. 10.

The top-ranked state in the nation is our neighbor New Jersey.

Pennsylvania's living conditions ranked fairly well, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic. Here is the breakdown with 1 as the best and 25 as average:

• 22nd – % of Population in Poverty
• 10th – % of Insured Population
• 31st – % of Adults in Fair or Poor Health
• 18th – Avg. Weekly Work Hours
• 6th – Restaurants per Capita

Pennsylvania was ranked poorly in WalletHub's "States that are Recovering the Quickest from COVID-19." In that category, Pennsylvania came in 48th.
