SEPTA Rider Suing After Tuesday Crash That Injured Dozens: Report

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash that left 33 hurt after a train slammed into an unoccupied train car.

A Philadelphia man has filed a lawsuit in connection with the SEPTA train crash that occurred Tuesday in Upper Darby, making it the first suit filed in the crash that injured dozens of people.

According to 6ABC, Derrell Robbson, 26, is seeking minimum $50,000 in damages related to the crash, as his attorneys say he suffered a concussion and was knocked unconscious in the crash.

The crash occurred at about 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22 when a Norristown High Speed line train crashed into an unoccupied train at the 69th Street Transportation Center, according SEPTA.

SEPTA said all injuries sustained were not life threatening.
