Vehicle Strikes Building on Eagle Road, Causes Gas Leak
Reports say a car hit a building in Havertown Wednesday afternoon, damaging the gas meter.

PECO crews responded to a natural gas leak on North Eagle Road Wednesday afternoon after reports of a car striking a building. A spokesperson from the energy company said the crews arrived at the scene at 4:10 p.m. and had the leak under control by 4:20 p.m. Work is underway to restore service to the customer affected by the accident.
According to social media reports, the collision damaged the building’s natural gas meter, causing the leak. First responders are reportedly on the scene. Google lists the address as a State Farm Insurance location.
There are no injuries reported.
