DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Wawa may never have gotten this much national attention before the hit HBO series "Mare of Easttown" captivated viewers across the country. And now, you can get a "Mare of Easttown" themed cheesesteak at the convenience chain, but only for a limited time and at select locations.

Wawa opened its newest store this week in Upper Darby and debuted the "Mare of Easttown Spicy Cheesesteak."

It's made with beefsteak, spicy pepper relish, and cheddar cheese sauce and is a "nod to how spicy the show is," according to Wawa.

However, you can only get it through June 17 at 42 stores in Delaware County.

So for die-hard fans who want to get a taste of the sandwich will have to travel to Delco and visit the "mythical" Wawa, as star Kate Winslet called the chain while filming in and around Delaware County.

According to Winslet, she subscribed to the Delaware County Daily Times and was often reading about Wawa in its articles.

"By the time I got there, I was like, 'It's real,'" she said on the Los Angeles Times podcast "The Envelope,"

She called Wawa "the heart of Delco."

While Winslet typically just got coffee from Wawa, she said co-star Evan Peters was a fan of Wawa's famous "Gobbler" hoagie, which stuff all the foods of a Thanksgiving dinner into a hoagie roll.

And in speaking about the Gobbler, Winslet corrected herself after calling it a "sub" rather than a "hoagie," a sign she worked to not only master the Delco accent but also the regional lingo.
