Youth Theatre Groups Holds Fundraiser Next Week

Young Performers Theater will be holding its second annual SNAP Pizza Fundraiser next Monday

It’s that time of year again!

Next Monday, local youth theatre group, Young Performer’s Theater, will be hosting its second annual SNAP Pizza Fundraiser!

The fundraiser takes place Monday, January 20 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Rosemont SNAP Custom Pizza. Young Performers Theater is a fully non-for-profit youth theatre group with participants ages four to fourteen from the local area. The productions are entirely directed, choreographed, and teched by high school students with a passion for theatre-arts opportunities.

“We always look forward to our SNAP Pizza Fundraiser!” says artistic director, Zachary Graaf. “It’s one of our most successful fundraisers of the year and SNAP Pizza is such a great partner to us!”

SNAP Custom Pizza with be donating 50% of the profits made from that night back to Young Performer's Theater in preparation for their upcoming production this summer. Young Performer's Theater donates the money made from ticket sales at their annual production, as well as any extra money, to a music and arts related charities at the end of the year. In the past, the group has donated to the Robert Morris School in Philadelphia, Kelly Music for Life, and Actors Without Boundaries.

Stage manager Onora Healey had similar positive remarks on the fundraiser.

“I’m so incredibly excited for this years SNAP Pizza Fundraiser. This is a fantastic way for us to raise money as well as come together as a community and enjoy each others company!” she says.

Young Performer's Theater has been posting flyers at local businesses and sharing the flyers on social media this past week in preparation for their fundraiser.

“We really hope to get more people in the community to come and support local youth theatre! It’s going to be a great night of friends, family, and pizza - all for a good cause!” says Graaf.
