1 Struck, Killed In Lower Moreland On SEPTA's West Trenton Line
Breaking: Service has been suspended on SEPTA's West Trenton Regional Rail line after one person was struck and killed in Lower Moreland.

LOWER MORELAND, PA -- Service has been suspended on SEPTA's West Trenton Regional Rail line after the train struck a vehicle and killed a passenger inside of it, SEPTA officials said.
The incident occurred sometime around 10 a.m. on Red Lion Road, authorities said.
6ABC reports that two women were inside of an SUV that was unable to stop on a downhill slope, and drove down onto the railroad tracks.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly leapt out just in time, but the passenger inside the vehicle was killed. The pair were on their way to work when the crash occurred, the report states.
Red Lion Road has been shut down between Philmont Avenue and Dale Road, according to Lower Moreland Township.

Investigators are on the scene. SEPTA said that crews on the scene will determine when service can resume.
Huntingdon Valley Fire Company No 1 was among the crews responding to the scene.
