2 Armed Robbery Suspects Arrested In Lower Moreland

A pair of armed robbery suspects were arrested in Lower Moreland early Monday.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — A pair of armed robbery suspects were arrested in Lower Moreland early Monday.

Two men, both from Philadelphia, were in Somerton at Wacky Zaki's bar at around 1 a.m. on Monday when they attacked a man in the restroom, according to authorities. They beat him with guns and stole his wallet, phone, cash, and car keys, police said.

As they fled the scene, they pointed the weapon at other customers in the bar, according to a 6ABC report.

One of the customers followed the men and reported to police a description of their white van, the report states.

Authorities tracked the men to the Wawa on Philmont Avenue and Red Lion Road, where they were pumping gas.

They were taken into custody at the scene. Formal charges and a preliminary hearing are forthcoming.
