The event, co-hosted by Bryn Athyn Church and Glencairn Museum in Glencairn’s Great Hall, promises to be a moving, intimate show that gives the audience a rare personal experience of the artist’s range of skills and his individual style.
Considered a “songwriter’s songwriter,” Wilcox’s songs have been covered by such artists as k.d. lang, while his skills as a performer have been compared by critics to Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Kenny Rankin. Performing and writing since the ’80s, his recent songs have explored relationships both personal and spiritual. His lyrics speak of gratitude for the various gifts, large and small, that life offers.
