Former Montco School Admin Had Improper Contact With Boy, 15

An official at a Montgomery County school has been convicted of having inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old student.

PENNSBURG, PA — An official at a Pennsburg school has been convicted of having inappropriate contact with a 15-year-old student.

Edwin Desean Stubbs, 26, of Newark, New Jersey has been sentenced for unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor, along with related counts, for the 2016 incident, according to court documents.

Stubbs was a 2010 graduate of The Perkiomen School, where he went on to become the director of communications.

Sentencing will be held on Jan. 30 pending a review of Stubbs' status as a sexually violent predator, court documents show. He faces up to 19 years in prison for the charges.

The Times Herald reports that prosecutors said Stubbs "took advantage of a relationship he had with a 15-year-old boy." The boy was reportedly mentored by Stubbs in the spring of 2016, and during that time Stubbs sent him inappropriate texts and Snapchat messages.

Stubbs received an undergraduate degree in public relations from Quinnipiac University and a masters of arts degree in Global Marketing Communications and Advertisement from Emerson College, according to his LinkedIn profile.
