Glencairn Museum expands annual Medieval Festival to one week

Video demonstrations offer portal to the past with an experience of Medieval life, art, beliefs.

Glencairn Museum is offering its popular annual Medieval Festival as a virtual event this year. There’s no charge, and videos will be posted to the Museum’s website and social media for a full week, Monday, October 19 through Sunday, October 25.

This Virtual Medieval Festival provides a portal to the past so people of all ages can experience the life, art and beliefs of the Middle Ages from the comfort and safety of their homes—and return again and again, if they wish.

“While we’ll miss hosting this event in person in 2020, ‘going virtual’ allows our guests to have more flexibility,” says Veronica Alt, Annual Event Manager. “Instead of having to pick and choose which demonstrators to see, families can enjoy the demonstrations together—whenever, and as many times as they want.”
