Huntingdon Valley Library's Interactive Calendar

The Huntingdon Valley Library's online calendar tells you what's going on at the library at the click of a button.

The Huntingdon Valley Library,located at 625 Red Lion Road in Huntingdon Valley, also has a strong online presence.

Along with the updates the library posts on its Facebook page, its website's interactive online calendar provides descriptions on daily events, as well as information about upcoming special events, including the June 4 Huntingdon Valley Library Golf Outing.

After landing on the library's homepage (www.hvlibrary.org), click on the "Events and Photos" link on the left-hand sidebar. There, visitors can see the library calendar, presenting the current month. A click on a particular date's blue link will show a  a list of events a that date.

Further clicking on a specific event will provide details, such as the ones listed for May 13:

  • Story Hour

When: Mon, May 13, 10:30 am – 11:30am

Where: Multi-purpose Room on the first floor of the Library (map)

Description: Pre-school Story Hour. There will be stories, songs and crafts for ages 2 to 5.

  • Mah Jongg Games

When: Mon, May 13, 11:30 am – 3:30 pm

Where: Community Room on the second floor of the Library (map)

Description: Mah Jongg play is $2.00 per session. Meet new people, or come with friends.New lessons beginning April 22nd at noon. Bring your 2013 card, can be purchased at Beautyland. Please park in the lower lot and take the elevator to the 2nd floor.

  • Sit N Knit

When: Mon, May 13, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm

Description: Beginners and experienced knitters. Come sit, talk and knit with the Library's group. All ages welcome.

  • Passage to India

When: Mon, May 13, 7pm – 9pm

Where: Community Room on the 2nd floor of the Library (map)

Description: A Passage to India. Story of India: Spice Routes & Silk Roads. A taste of culture celebration. PBS film. See and smell authentic spices. Join us in the Community Room. Program is free and open to the public. All welcome. Please RSVP for any or all of these events at the Circulation Desk. Call 215 947 5138

  • Mother-Daughter Book

When: Mon, May 13, 7 pm – 8 pm

Where: Multi-purpose room (map)

Description: Mother-Daughter Book Club, for girls in grades 4,5 & 6 and Moms of all ages, meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm. Tonight we will be reading and discussing "ALL ALONE in the UNIVERSE" by Lynne Rae Perkins. Sign up on the counter in the children's area and pick up your copy of the book at the front desk.
