Jennifer Oprysko Graduates Drexel Law

Huntingdon Valley resident Jennifer Oprysko graduated from the Earle Mack School of Law at Drexel University with a Juris Doctor degree on May 17 at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Miller is one of 136 members of the Class of 2013 who have helped the school reshape legal education.

The event marked the fifth commencement for the Earle Mack School of Law, which has gained a reputation among employers for preparing students especially well for professional practice. Graduates collectively logged nearly 58,000 hours in legal practice, including more than 12,000 hours of pro bono service to underrepresented members of the Philadelphia community. 

Members of the class also demonstrated keen advocacy skills in the mock trial, moot court, negotiation and arbitration competition arenas, winning numerous regional and national contests.

Drexel University President John Fry took part in the ceremony, as did Provost Mark Greenberg, University Trustee Thomas Kline, who chairs the law school’s advisory board, and Dean Roger Dennis.

Honorary degrees were awarded to the Hon. Pamela Pryor Dembe, the president judge of the Court of Common Pleas, and H. FitzGerald Lenfest, a towering figure in Philadelphia’s business and philanthropy spheres who founded the Lenfest Foundation and currently chairs the board of the company that owns The Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News.
