Lower Moreland Is PA's 29th Best School District: New Rankings

LOWER MORELAND, PA — Data compiler Niche has ranked Pennsylvania's best school districts for 2019, and Lower Moreland has come in among the best in the state. The rankings were released this week as part of the website's 2019 K-12 rankings.

Lower Moreland came in 29th and was ranked as the sixth-best district in Montgomery County. Several other Montgomery County districts came in among the state's very best. The top-ranked district in Montgomery County was Lower Merion, which came in fourth

Wissahickon was ranked 12th, followed by North Penn at 17th, Colonial at 25th, Upper Dublin in 26th, and Spring-Ford in 28th.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; Health & Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources & Facilities.
