“Who doesn’t know Amanda? Actually, Amanda is involved in a myriad of activities, including Honors Society, THON, she’s vice president of the Spanish Club, just to name a few. She makes a meaningful contribution to her commitments. She’s a hard worker, a creative thinker and a person always to be counted on. And, she does all of this with tremendous enthusiasm and incredibly positive attitude.”
Feeley’s remarks for Evan Aurit:

“Evan is a throwback, a kid who does his best and has respect for those around him, including his teachers and staff and members of the community. He’s the kind of kid who will jump in and help at a moment’s notice without any expectation of reward or of praise, but simply does it because he’s asked to do it. He should be student of the month to illustrate that doing the right thing everyday pays off in the long run.”
Prior to the presentations, Feeley said that honoring students is one of the school board’s favorite duties. Presenting the student of the month plaques to Amanda and Evan was school board member Steve Geiger.
