Multiple Water Rescues Underway In Lower Moreland

Breaking: Heavy rains brought flash flooding to the area, trapping motorists on multiple local roadways.

LOWER MORELAND, PA — Heavy rains brought flash flooding to Montgomery County on Tuesday afternoon, trapping motorists on multiple local roadways.

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company reported three water rescues underway at around 5 p.m.

The first incident occurred near Buck Road and Raikes Road, officials said.

Shortly thereafter, officials were called to the scene at two more incidents: one at Pine and County Line roads, and another at Philmont Avenue and Pine Road.

The Huntingdon Valley Fire Company is being assisted by the Bryn Athyn Fire Company at these scenes. EMS units have also been called.

Motorists are reminded to turn around immediately if they see a flooded roadway, and not to attempt to drive through it.

It's not yet clear if there are any injuries.
