Suspected Thief Who Used Lower Moreland Wawa ATM Sought By Police

Police in Bucks County are seeking to identify a man they believed used a Lower Moreland Wawa ATM to steal more than $1,200.

Police in Bucks County are seeking the public’s help to identify a man they believe used a local woman’s financial information to steal more than $1,200 from two area ATMs, including one in Lower Moreland.

According to Newtown Township Police, a local woman reported her card had been used for several recent purchases totaling $1,200. She told investigators she had the card in her possession and had not given it to anyone else at the time of the transactions in question.

Police say they obtained surveillance footage that showed the suspect using the card at two area Wawas.

One location it was used was on Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia. The other was on Philmont Avenue in Lower Moreland Township.

According to police, in both circumstances, the man arrived on foot out of the view of the exterior surveillance cameras and was “heavily” disguised. In both cases, he comes into the store, goes right to the ATM and then leaves, police said.
